| Hey group. I have a strange problem. when i turned on my computer and started KDE or gnome etc. My mouse is not working correctly. The pointer only moves up and down and if i leftclick it moves a bit to the right until its of the screen. a few minutes ago the mouse worked perfect on win98se. Newby as i am, i formatted the lunix partition and did a complete installation like i already did 10 times before. Again the mouse failed withe the same problem. I already noticed that i run mouseconfig i have another screen than on the other (working) PC. it lets you choose between serial ps usb logitec MS etc. On the bad computer is give me the choise of installing gpm (copy paste tool with the mouse) on startup or not. The mouse is a Ms usb wireless intellimouse. (fancy weeks ago on the same machine withe the same slackware. please TM |

It originally did the same as you described, but with a bit of tweaking, it, again, works perfectly. |
