Because he's now posting from motzarella.org, and he needs to see if they have banned him yet from using this group. I filed an abuse report with them for the post he made with threats in it, I encourage others to do the same. -- "Ubuntu" -- an African word, meaning "Slackware is too hard for me". |

It defines someone as a careless newbie? The amusing part is that even if the issue is with this specific newsgroup, the guy has posted more than enough that enough reply to himself wouldn't be noticed. Or missed if it didn't get through. SO instead of looking like an idiot and posting a test message, he simply could have posted yet more stuff and nobody would notice he was testing. Michael |

I don't think that that can be the reason as other posts from him via motzarella.org seem to be showing up prior to this test message. -- Two Ravens "...hit the squirrel..." |

He's an idiot. If you need more explanation than that, you're just out of luck, because he's an idiot. -- Old Man "Swagger isn't courage." Lee Iacocca |

Perhaps an explanation would defeat the object, its the mixture of ineptitude and aggressive vituperation that fascinates, see this from another thread: >> There's no need to apologize for starting a new thread on a different >> topic, Vwaju. You did things in a proper manner. Tom Newton replied to this with: > No he didn't. There is more to this than being an idiot. Tom Newton, (whoever he may be), seems to have a fixed idea of how *all* others should react to him, *without* first conforming to the norms of the group into which he has entered. Others in past have done so, insisting that this news group conform to patterns of social behaviour that they find to be acceptable. However they have at least at basic grasp of what they are trying to achieve. Tom Newton/Tom N seems to state a position, (KDE is an evil conspiracy), and then lash out angrily at all who dare to suggest otherwise, then claims that no one is capable of 'debating the question with him, whilst at the same time exhibiting a poor grasp of the technical matters on which he is pontificating. Having the time to watch his antics I find the whole thing fascinating. -- Two Ravens "...hit the squirrel..." |

He'd make a good regular in COLA. ken |

But I'm pretty confident that any explanation he might give for posting his "test" here could be fairly reduced to, "I am an idiot." -- Old Man "Swagger isn't courage." Lee Iacocca |

Did I mis something? Is this "test" posting somehow special? OTOH I'm quite impressed by this ODE project: http://www.google.nl/search?hl=en&q=ode&btnG=Search Results 1 - 10 of about 23,900,000 for ode < big snip > Regards, Kees. -- Kees Theunissen |
