| Hey, this one's a hardware question for a change, 'cause I reckon some folks here ought to know about that, too. Anyway, I just replaced the fan in my power supply. The problem is, it wouldn't work when attatched to the power source inside the PSU. When attatched to the motherboard, however, it does work. So, of the red, black and yellow wires, I cut the yellow one that is responsible for temperature control in order to make sure the fan runs at full speed constantly, and left the fan attatched to the motherboard. Do you see any problem with this admittedly dirty "hack"? Cheers, ~Mik -- "The geek shall inherit the earth." -- Rainer Wolfcastle in "Undercover Nerd" |
