For the most part, it's nothing of consequence, but there might be above-average interest in OpenOffice.org and ulogd, so I'm advertising... :-) OOo is just a repackaging of the binary distributed by them; I made a few minor changes (symlinked binaries to /usr/bin, added documentation to /usr/doc/..., etcetera), but nothing substantial. 2.0 beta (1.9.128) is currently there, and I generally update it within a few days after a new release. http://rlworkman.net/linux/pkgs/openofficeorg/ For those who actually want to look at firewall logs, Harald Welte's ulogd is great for keeping them from cluttering up /var/log/messages. http://rlworkman.net/linux/pkgs/ulogd/ Sorry to 'hijack' your thread, sir - please accept my apologies... :-) RW -- http://rlworkman.net |

| To the individual who contacted me offlist: I don't mind, but I can't reply if the reply email address is invalid... Someone wrote OFFLIST: > Hi, > > May i ask : Why do you install Oo in /opt ? > See this link: http://www.pathname.com/fhs/pub/fhs-...FTWAREPACKAGES Perhaps it doesn't fit *perfectly* in this category, OOo *is* self-contained software and it's fairly large. Also, it was already packaged for /opt anyway, so I left it there... :-) RW -- http://rlworkman.net |
