| hello all. i was running a software raid level 0 under slackware 9.0 quite succesfully untill one of the maxtors failed on me. so i got a new one and rebuilt the raid, almost exactly the way i had previously. the new raid does not autodetect on startup. looking at the software raid howto ( http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/doc...TO.html#ss4.10 ) i checked to make sure my parititions were of the right type..... there are no partitions on either drive at all. how annoying. after the system is up i can raidstart md0 and mount it fine, but it will not autodetect on startup. i would love to just recreate it all, but i have data that i cannot move off the raid system now. any recdomnations on what to do to to get autodetection to work? below is the raidtab file i used. thanks. raiddev /dev/md0 raid-level 0 nr-raid-disks 2 persistent-superblock 1 chunk-size 32 device /dev/hdc raid-disk 0 device /dev/hdd raid-disk 1 |
