Default Ran Swaret, lost printer driver

Hi,

Running Slack 9.1 kernels 2.4.25 and 2.6.6. I updated
everything with swaret over the weekend and lost the printer
driver for the LJ5N printer. I was using apsfilter and the
system was running just fine. The /var/adm/removed_packages
showed that apsfilter was removed but it is still standing in
the directory. Been running Slack since 94 and setting up
a printer has always been hard for me.
Also, I noticed the lpr command gives the error:
lpr: error -scheduler not responding.
Do I have to use another printer protocol and where to go
to get the information to set it up?

Best regards,
Kurt Savegnago

Default cancel this Ran Swaret, lost printer driver

Hi,

Cancel this. I just started rc.cups and did a printer
setup under KDE 3.2.2 and everything works again!
