| Hi, Running Slack 9.1 kernels 2.4.25 and 2.6.6. I updated everything with swaret over the weekend and lost the printer driver for the LJ5N printer. I was using apsfilter and the system was running just fine. The /var/adm/removed_packages showed that apsfilter was removed but it is still standing in the directory. Been running Slack since 94 and setting up a printer has always been hard for me. Also, I noticed the lpr command gives the error: lpr: error -scheduler not responding. Do I have to use another printer protocol and where to go to get the information to set it up? Best regards, Kurt Savegnago |

| Hi, Cancel this. I just started rc.cups and did a printer setup under KDE 3.2.2 and everything works again! Kurt Kurt wrote: > Hi, > > Running Slack 9.1 kernels 2.4.25 and 2.6.6.
