| I deleted my old slack except for /home and installed Slack 12.1. I have an in-house DNS/ftp/web/mail server that I use, and it is configured properly. Lynx/Links can surf the web nicely, but Firefox/Thunderbird dont. Something is wiggy in the Mozilla family of products and seeing as it's Moms Day, I have little time to hang around the computer trying to fix it. Anyone else have this problem? -- People who live in glass houses should ball in the basement. www.websterscafe.com |

To expand on my limited initial offering, it seems Konqueror doesn't surf either. X apps b0rked, but the network connection is good. Didn't include it, I figure most folks would assume it's there and as always reliably pulling 127.0.0.1. I deleted the old ~/.kde directory. Tha fixed Konqueror. Then I did the 'about:config' thing and changed a 'network.ipv6' option from false to true to fix firefox.
