| Hello, upgraded (read: reinstalled) my slackware 9.1 to 10.0 the other day, ran into a problem with LVM. installed: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1267 2004-07-08 01:41 /var/log/packages/device-mapper-1.00.17-i486-2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2146 2004-07-08 01:42 /var/log/packages/lvm2-2.00.15-i486-2 kernel version: 2.6.7-mm5 In 9.1. i was using homegrown packages (device-mapper 1.00.17 and lvm2 2.00.08) and kernel 2.6.7-mm5, lvm was working beautifully. After the upgrade vgscan keeps on chewing the lvm partition, eating more and more memory until it gets OOM-killed. I tried vgscan with the old lvm binary, works like a charm. Anyone have any clue what could be causing this ? |
