| Howdy I'm a very newbie in Slackware, but still got it up'n'running on a IBM 600 Thinkpad with relatively little worries. What I don't get to work is the D-Link WLan, a DWL-650+. Any ideas, urls or something to get me started? BR: CP-Geek cp-geek@cp-geek.com |

The driver (from acx100.sf.net) seems to work, but not always stable (connection lost sometimes within few minutes... and sometimes it for many hours !, tested with an AP Dlink DWL900). Their package includes a script to help to start the device. But in no way I have been able to make it to a network interface, ideas? ("Network Interfaces" shows only the loopback adapter) CP-Geek cp-geek@cp-geek.com |

Just a remark : depending on the kernel version I used, I was (not) able to download the driver... (strange PCI allocation error). Which kernel do you use ? The driver itelf is loaded, since the card identifies right, the interface just isn't up. I find that somewhat strange. With my beginner-knowledge this is most likely something very simple, I just need to figure out what it is CP-Geek cp-geek@punkass.com |
