Default Slackware 9.1 on a Toshiba TE2300

Has anyone been able to install Slackware 9.1 on a Toshiba TE2300? I
Have installed 9.1 many times on various laptops and desktops but am
seeing stuff here that I've never seen before. The bare.i kernel on
Slackware 9.1 disk #1 hangs on the usb initialization. I tried making
a boot and root floppys but no luck there either. I tried booting some
of the other kernels on the Slackware disk also, but to no avail. I
have looked on Toshiba's web site and can't find the TE2300 listed.
They do have a Linux support section, but it did not have an answer to
my question either.

Thanks!

Try feeding the kernel something like: "nousb pci=off ide=nodma"
(Just for installing, recompile kernel properly for your hardware afterwards.)
