Next project, build a media centre PC on Slack. Has anyone done this
using, say, MythTV? It compiles nicely on 10.1 and looks pretty but my
main box is _not_ going to the living room.

you'll find more information on mythtv web pages. there are plenty of small
cases/machines which you can use in your living room.

I have still much work left, but I'm working on placing a mini-ITX card
together with two DVB-cards and a DVD-RW in my old VCR case. When the
hardware work is done I will probably do some kind of Slackware
installation and put VDR on top of that.

The motherboard that I bought has a 1 GHz fanless VIA eden CPU. However,
I can't tell yet how good this is going to work.
