LOL.

I must confess I have strayed from the Slackware path, my admiration
and respect remain in tact, and having been a Slackware user, I have
learned linux at the feet of Saint Pat.

Yet, "Bob" save me, I have strayed, Arch Linux has seduced me with its
elegant package manager, it's minimalist base installation, it's
straight forward configuration file layout, it's Canadian origins. Arch
has now taken over all the machines that I use here in Berlin, and only
one lonely Slackware machine sits back in my co-lo in Toronto, along
with maybe one or two others back in Canada surrounded on all sided by
NetBSD and SuSE boxes.

Will Pat forgive me?

Heheh, I just read the pamphlets on http://www.subgenius.com/ and it
sounds fun--a bit like Dischordianism, and with a touch of extropianism.
If you accidentally joined an organization without realising it, it might
as well be this one.

Yes! Another unsolicited endorsement!

I bet you've never heard anybody say THAT about the Catholic Church or
the Raelians!

No, actually I think the Catholics HAVE said that, a few times.

William Hamblen posited the following
query on alt.os.linux.slackware:

<<Has anyone in the whole wide world
actually sent in their [$30.00 membership fee
to the SubGenuis Foundation]? >>

Yes. They sent it to:

The SubGenius Foundation, Inc.
4th Stangian Orthodox MegaFisTemple
Lodge of the Wrath of Dobbs Yeti,
Resurrected, Rev. Ivan Stang, prop.
P.O. Box 181417, Cleveland, OH 44118

Those interested in the amoral hijinx
of an evil cult are encouraged to visit
the official website, subgenius.com,
as well as the newsgroups alt.slack &
alt.binaries.slack and several other NGs
that you'll have to discover on your
own. The Wikipedia page is also useful
and somewhat up to date.

alt.slack is where the action is if anyone
needs immediate ministerial guidance.

Tell 'em assco sent you.

Are you sure that the subject wasn't "Slackware by Satanists?", there was
a huge thread with this subject in C.O.L.M back in 1994.
