| I've setup `slrnpull', on my IBM T21 running Slackware-9.1, to fetch articles from alt.os.linux.slackware. It successfully downloads the bodies of new articles and stores them inside `spool_inn_root/news/alt/os/linux/slackware directory. When I execute `slrn --spool -f ~/.jnewsrc --create', slrn picks up the name of the newsgroup correctly, but when instructed to get in, it displays an error message: Unable to open directory /var/spool/slrnpull/news/alt/os/linux/slackware I changed the permissions on the directory in question, thinking lack of permission might be the issue, but to no effect. I just hope this post gets to past the spooler. |

I'm sorry for posting that in a hurry. A little experimentation with the spool_root and spool_nov_root directories did the trick. -- Ayaz Ahmed Khan This e-mail was generated on an IBM T21 Laptop running Slackware-9.1.0.
