| Hello all... Ever since I upgraded to Slack 10.0, I have been having a strange (and very isolated) problem with the sound. My sound playback is at "double speed" (think "Chipmunks"). But...this *only* happens with the playback of audio voice recordings, such as those recorded using "record", or "wavrec". It also happens when I use telephony apps such as Skype. I am told, that my voice comes through, on the other end, at double speed. However, *all* other audio media seems to playback properly (CD, .mp3, audio from video files, etc.), this situation only happens with the aforementioned "voice" things. Now, I have read that some think this is a problem that happens with the upgrade to KDE 3.2, but I am having the problem at the command line as well...*before* I launch X. My sound is the on-board C-media CM8378, and the cmpci driver. Thanks in advance for any advice. -- Greg Heilers Registered Linux user #328317 - SlackWare 10.0 .....
