| To whom it may concern! Working on unrelated to IT job I suddenly seen "the light". In our regular OS configuration we have at our disposal tty's to register a small family. Now, if more than one of those invokes "startx" the system complains. Is it possible to direct X-windows to more than one display compartment depending on who called it?. NO, I havn't RTMF'ed or Googled. Just curious Stanislaw Slack user from Ulladulla. |

That would probably be possible, but it is even easier to make it depend upon which virtual console they started X from: alias startx startx -- :`tty | colrm 1 8` Please note that the ticks should point from up-left to down-right. regards Henrik -- The address in the header is only to prevent spam. Tried your suggestions, it works, just Netscape refused to work under two masters, logged on two tty's as the same user. OK will have to make myself a mirror reflection for those games. Thanks anyway. And who said that RTFM is the name of the game? Having fun Stanislaw Slack user from Ulladulla. |
