It was PEACE that forced all the folks here to attack me for stating my sincere opinion of PGPsigs and for honestly believing that a stripped-down Slackware is still Slackware? Apparently, I was just supposed to surrender my mind to the bullies on this group, roll over and submit and conform. Well, that didn't happen, did it? They flipped me shit, and got it right back in their faces. And I am condemned for defending myself. So be it. I dance to no one's tune but my own. And I am still here, willing to carry on civil discussions with anyone who is capable of acting like something other than a member of a pack of junkyard dogs. Alan C |

Alan, it's excellent to have your opinion but it takes a wise and strong person to be able to *change* your opinion and admit weaknesses in your logic if there are any. > Apparently, I was just supposed to surrender my mind to the bullies on > this group, roll over and submit and conform. Sometimes you have to surrender to be a winner. But surrender is a strong word in this situation. Maybe you could just see and praise the strong points in the logic of the opposition. And they did have strong points that you refused to take notice of. > Well, that didn't happen, did it? > > They flipped me shit, and got it right back in their faces. > > And I am condemned for defending myself. You were not condemned, you just pissed people off because you were a bit well ... (it's time to practice my English) stubborn and intransigent. > So be it. I dance to no one's tune but my own. Shame. You're missing a lot of excellent tunes out there > And I am still here, willing to carry on civil discussions with anyone > who is capable of acting like something other than a member of a pack > of junkyard dogs. > > > Alan C -- Jabber: molchun@jabber.org PGP ID: 0x304563A8 |

We all have good points. But I decided to reject in-your-face PGP sigs, which *I* believe violate the spirit of the 4-line sig limit. And *I* decided that what PGP offers is just an illusion. > >> Well, that didn't happen, did it? >> >> They flipped me shit, and got it right back in their faces. >> >> And I am condemned for defending myself. > > You were not condemned, you just pissed people off because you were a bit > well ... Just think, I can now determine that a particular key was used for this post. I can't tell where you live or what your real name is, and I can't determine whether you are the same person that created the key. So what I know is, ultimately, that you *seem* to have a valid key. Like most people, I lack the software to actually determine that, and like most people, I don't see the point of getting it. ------------------------------ Is there a textmode Jabber client? -- Alan C Post validation at http://tinyurl.com/rv0y |

I love the passive-aggressive abuse disguised as compassion above. Do you think I'm "sad", Glyn? Isn't that nice? I'm so happy for you. Know what I think YOU are? Pathetic.Transparent.Cowardly. I stand up to the attrocious bullies here that cowards like you hide behind, and you go running to my ISP. What a TWERP! Better stay on the Usenet.
