You would better try to build it from source instead of using third party, badly designed, binary packages. The package you try to use has probably been built on a Slackware system with tons of third party packages : when XEmacs has been built on it, it has been linked against a library present on this system but not provided with Slackware Linux 10.1. If you want to seach for a file in the official Slackware packages, you can try the package browser on the official Slackware web site : http://www.slackware.com/pb/ -- LiNuCe |

Looks like you have installed a precompiled package and the builder of this package has for some reason build XEmacs against NAS (Network Audio System). You can do one out of two. Install NAS or contact the maintainer of the package because this is IMHO a mistake. Or you could go get the tarball and compile XEmacs yourself. -- Thomas O. Get rid of that pre-compiled 3rd party unofficial XEmacs binary package you have there. Then grab the XEmacs source tarball and compile it yourself. If you have any problems along the way, comp.emacs.xemacs is the place to go.
