The 2.6 series of kernels aren't going to/don't currently need ide-scsi emulation to send the commands necessary to burn CDs. The cdrecord program can now talk to /dev/hdc rather than the scsi address made up when you use ide-scsi emulation. You no longer need ide-scsi emulation with the new kernel, so there's no point in trying to make it work, unless you just want a more confused and convaluted system. :-) -- Rob | If not safe, Email and Jabber: | one can never be free. athlonrob at axpr dot net | -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/x1mShm6KEoOOAe0RAhvsAKDAbk51oYtegAj1BbZaxcRlYBGejw Cgrzom zbWmA3yQv7s2tOlGoRmy4dA= =gPBK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
