| I have a laptop with a USB CD-ROM that most distro's are unable to boot from and those that can often do not support the wireless card out of the box. One distro I have found with a LiveCD that will boot and support the wireless card is Lindows (Linspire) 4.5. Unfortunately Lindows 4.5 uses kernel 2.4.24, the alt install instructions mention problems if you try t install from a 2.4 kernel. Are there any tricks to getting gentoo to install from a < 2.6 kernel? |
