Just did the usual emerge -puvD world and got the following, um.....

I got the same problem, unmerged all the blocking packages (emerge
unmerge xxx), then emerge -uDp world again.
No problem.

Thats what I usually do, but it struck me as very odd to have so many blocks
appear at once
