| Just got a new computer and started installing gentoo 1.4 (used stage 3) - when i do "emerge xfree" - emerge try to install ttmkfdir version 3.0.9, but this fails with: declaration int getchar() throws difrent exception - function src_compile, line 30, EXitcode 2 Is this a known bug and is there some workaround it ?? - i have not changed the optimization level in make.conf (only added the 3dnow, matrox, mmx useflags). | First of all you're everytime welcome to check <http://bugs.gentoo.org/> and <http://forums.gentoo.org/> and check if you got a well-known-problem. While installing Gentoo I got the error that gcc crashed everytime when doing a 'emerge world', emerging gcc alone worked for me, maybe you want to try this out. Regards, Stefan |
