Default cross-compiling
Hi, I have another question: is it possible emerge and working together
ccache/distcc on:
-pentium3
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-02 -pipe -march=pentium3"
-pentium-M
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium3 -msse2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
-athlon-xp-m
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
.....

Can I emerge distcc only, without crossdev?
Can I use the distcc over the gentoo installation cd?

As long as the CHOST is the same you can use distcc without crossdev
