| Is it a good idea to have a DVDROM and DVDRAM using the same IDE BUS, especialy, if i want to copy a CD/DVD directly? Figured out that the buffer runs down to about 3% or 6% when doing a direct copy using cdrao, when i do a sequential copy the buffer stays at 100%. Which one should be hdc and which hdd? For now, the ROM is hdc, RAM is hdd. Would it be better, to use seperate IDE Chanells (hdb instead of hdd)? And yes, of course i'm using a 80 ribbon cable. Thx, Jan |

This way the data I was burning wasn't using bandwith on its own channel. I guess what I'm saying is, don't put your burner on the same channel as the data thats going to be burnt. -- Shan Destromp |
