Hello folks,

I noticed that when I start an 'emerge sync' it also starts downloading
livecd's which I obviously don't need.
How can I configure that this won't happen ?

That's very weird. Potentially a broken mirror.

I need more information, like the complete rsync output starting from
when you type 'emerge sync'

you were right
it was set to ftp.belnet.be/gentoo instead of /gentoo-portage !
