| I've tried to get both xmule and mldonkey to connect to the emule network and am having probs. Xmule was immeadiately banned by all servers for some reason and I was forced to unmerge it due to that issue. mldonkey was able to connect but was banned almost immediately by servers with message that client was old&buggy and I needed to upgrade immeadiately. According to my pkg db mldonkey is ver 2.5.3-r1 while xmule is 1.6.0a-r1 so I don't see any reason for the problems. I run fluxbox as primary with kde/gnome only as needed by deps. BTW: I have broadband so that isn't an issue. I would like to get an edonkey client that works without installing anymore kde/gnome then already on the system. Any input appreciated -- Registered Linux User 286636 |

Any input appreciated I use lmule (and fluxbox, too). http://lmule.sourceforge.net However, it requires package wxGTK, which requires gnome. In general, it works OK. Sometimes it terminates for no apparent reason. I just restart it--not a big problem, but annoying. I recently had a problem where it would terminate after a few minutes. I got around the problem by deleting some files on my transfer list. Not sure why this fixed it. Hope this helps. |
