| Has anybody got an Epson CX5200 series multipurpose printer running as a scanner with sane? I have a CX5400 and it prints fine with with gimp or under cups using the cx5200 driver (set it up from the kde settings panel). How do I get it working as a scanner with sane? (xsane only sees my btv video capture card and that doesn't seem to work...I think I need to set the tuner option correctly but I'm not sure how). I do NOT see any scanner devices under /dev/usb, infact ONLY the printer shows up. The ONLY usb device I see is /dev/usb/lp0. |

Read the documentation. Sybren -- The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |
