Yesterday I was trying to use eroaster, and ran into an error.
A friend suggested I upgrade gnome-python to see if that fixed it.
I ran emerge sync, emerge -u world, and emerge gnome-python to be sure.
I get a slightly different error now, (sorry i didnt save the original
error) and it is as follows.

ImportError: cannot import name GtkVBox


im not really sure what i should be doing, but i suspect python my still
be involved.
any help is appreciated
