well, it seems that you do not have PostgressSQL installed.

Maybe you could do a `emerge -pv aide` and a `emerge -s postgresql` and post
the results here. Then we can check whether the dependecies are correct and
whether PostgressSQL is installed.

And yet another hint comes to my mind:
Maybe Postgress is already installed but the DB is not running?

If you mean posgresql is running ? it is not - you think it should? I'm
just preparing the system so it is not running yet.
