/etc/conf.d/hostname what should it be? I overwrote it by mistake

This is a discussion on /etc/conf.d/hostname what should it be? I overwrote it by mistake within the Gentoo Linux Support forums, part of the Unix Operating Systems category; --> anyone knows what's the contents of /etc/conf.d/hostname? I overwrote it by mistake with /etc/hostname is it part of baselayout?...

Default /etc/conf.d/hostname what should it be? I overwrote it by mistake

anyone knows what's the contents of /etc/conf.d/hostname? I overwrote it
by mistake with /etc/hostname
is it part of baselayout?

I don't have a /etc/conf.d/hostname sorry. /etc/hostname should however
just contain your hostname. In my case, it is fatcat

it is baselayout (~x86)

set any name for your pc into it

p.ex.

HOSTNAME="gentoo"
