Not to my knowledge, no... As I (mis)understand it, the /firefox-bin/ installs one or multiple libraries that this Flash Player depends upon. Proprietary software... :-/ -- With kind regards, *Aragorn* (Registered GNU/Linux user # 223157) |

Dunno. I think it's just the fact that I want my whole system to be "real" 64 bit. Greetings, Terminator |

Hm, I think it's just that firefox-bin is compiled as an 32 bit binary so it's compatible to the flash player which is also a 32 bit binary. Greetings, Terminator |

Some rare client applications (compiling) may run a little faster, but the verry most will not make any difference in use. In some occasions (more memory usage) they can eaven be slower. Your AMD64 or Intel EM64T CPU is in fact a 32bit CPU with some 64bit extensions and not the other way round. Regards Casper -- Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine, into your brain, and that is where shitty ideas come from!!! |

Do the extra registers available in 64bit mode not provide a speed increase over 32bit mode for many applications? |
