Sorry to burst your bubble, but the numbers in this article are really flaky. For instance, most commercial Distros are available for download either immediately or some time after boxed release, and the article completely fails to take that into account. Secondly, their main source is netcraft, and that only takes into account publicly reachable web servers. File servers, DB servers, desktops etc. are out there, too. |
