This is nothing but a rumour or a hoax, but I thought it was worth posting
here. This has circulated around the Web for a while, but it even hit Digg
today. The comments explain why this story should be disregarded, in case
somebody brings it up.

Sorry to have labeled it a hoax... too many people seemed to have called that
claims "baseless " and considered it a hoax. ZDNet are reliable enough for
me to believe it.

Best wishes and apologies for the deceit,

Roy

To quote south park, "why the big fucking deal, bitch?"

A lot of people have done open sourced software while working for
a living. I bet Mr. Robbins isn't even the first one whose paycheck
has come from the evil empire.

The lesson of the story: Don't believe what fanbois say.

It turns out to have actually been true. It was also rather old news, but
only the word only leaked in the past couple of days. I saw it in at least 3
credible sites.

That was my point. The fanbois are biased and will deny the truth and
call it "baseless" or a "hoax" without checking the validity. Thus, the
lesson is to not believe "many people" but only verifiable sources
before joining the choir.

Gotcha.

(fanbois = AOLG participants) & (fanbis != early publishers and bloggers)

Depends on the syntax of your favourite P/L...
