| Those of you with a PowerPC based computer, you may have noticed that Preemptible don't work, but there have now been a "work around" to make it to work and gain some preformance. Enabling SMP will fix the bug in preemptible and this works on single CPU systems too. When configuring your kernel, go to "Platform options" enable: Symmetric multi-processing support Preemptible Kernel Now compile your kernel and reboot and you have a preemptible kernel. //Aho |
