| I think the problem tems from my first attempt to emerge glibc-2.3.2-r9 which failed, and now portage somhow think it has parts of it installed. Thats right on both counts. Your first attempt at emerging glibc clearly completed the compile and started the copy to the live system (then there must have been a crash/powerloss/^C or something). Emerge glibc-2.3.2-r9 again, then upgrade/downgrade it to whatever version you want to fix the issue. -- Ben M. ---------------- What are Software Patents for? Patent everything no matter how general b.) Sue everybody. Even if the patent can be argued invalid, small companies can ill-afford the typical $500k cost of a law-suit (not to mention years of harassment).
