Hi,

when I launch kaudiocreator and try to rip a file from a music CD, I get the
following:

kaudiocreator: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'audiocd'.

What can be the problem?

I think, the problem might be a new use-Flag in kde 3.3. If you use
gentoo you have to add the use-flag cdparanoia in your make.conf and
recompile the package kdemultimedia.
