| Please note that this was also posted to Gentoo Forums. I can't seem to get Konqueror and flash to work together. Flash works with Mozilla just fine. I'm using Konqueror 3.2.2 and KDE 3.2.2. When I load a page, such as homestarrunner, all I get (in that particular case) is a black screen and not a hint of the graphic that should show up in the middle of the page. Konqueror reports that the page is fully loaded. I even downloaded the flash player from Macromedia and tried that. No go. I have the "Enable plugins globally" button checked. KDE/Konqueror does find the flash plugin, it just doesn't work. David |

I suppose you emerged netscape-flash, didn't you? GPLflash works only with older flash versions. > When I load a page, such as homestarrunner, all I get (in that > particular case) is a black screen and not a hint of the graphic that > should show up in the middle of the page. Flash playback was smooth. > I have the "Enable plugins globally" button checked. KDE/Konqueror > does find the flash plugin, it just doesn't work. What path does Konqueror show you for that plugin? If it helps you, netscape-flash installs on /opt/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so . Once again, I've had problems with Konqueror. But it does play most Flash correctly. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAq+PLUyK/pB8JqJIRAhf7AKCBu2KELpECNGwNmAZdmFmHdvetrwCfYIiS Nr7qzfYscdBCRR2LYgcpYLg= =430c -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
