| Hi, Ok, my problem is about to make me tear my hair out! I'm trying to get my wpc11 v3 card to work with or without wep, at this point, with my Linksys Router/AP. After many times of messing with linux-wlan-ng, I unemerged it and emerged wireless-tools, finally getting the card to get 2 high beeps with the orinoco_cs drivers. When I do an iwconfig, it shows that it found the AP cause it has the APs mac address. However, no matter if I try to use DHCP or a static ip, I am not able to do anything. All I can do is ping itself and nothing else. I have spent time on freenode and even went to the point of letting people ssh into my laptop to try to get it to work and they are baffled as well. I don't know what other info I might need for some help, but any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks, Paul |

| I had a similar problem but with a Netgear Wireless MA401R. Read this and follow it: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=26716 If you need any more help please ask. I am not a pundit but have had enough of these problems that I like to help others who went through what I did. By the way, the above instructions have worked on all my laptops.
