Default lm-sensors on Compaq Presarion 8000

Hello world!

Ok, I need help 'mkay?

Has anybody here been able to get lm-sensors up and running on a Compaq
Presario 8000 and with kernel 2.6+?

If so, please paste you how-to here.

I haven't, but just to make sure.. you are aware that you need to use
a version of lm-sensors that are masked (that is, not even considered
stable or compatible enough for testing) in gentoo for it to work with
the 2.6 kernels?
