| hi all, I had my audio up and running yesterday, but now it's gone. I have no clue why, I have not played with eny audio devices/drivers. my music players seems to be 'rolling out' the music, but the sound is muted. any clues? what might have caused it and how can i fix it? mat |

Thanks guys it worked but now i lost the ability of controlling volume via ma Function keys (Fn +F1, Fn+F4) on my Packard Bell laptop. it worked before...in fact other function keys (display related) still work OK. I like gentoo, but it really gets on my tits now. any ideas highly appreciated. arty5ta |

Then set up your window manager / desktop system to use those keys to change the volume. Sybren -- The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |
