Can someone point me to a place where I can get instructions on how to
install and configure Microsoft True Type fonts into Gentoo?
Along the same lines, what is the best way to search for gentoo packages
to emerge?
It seems that I must know the exact name of the package in order to emerge
it?
Is there a better way?

"emerge corefonts" for the MS core TT fonts.

"emerge esearch"?

I found the package name above with "esearch -S microsoft" (eupdatedb must
be run to update the database).
