Default need advice fixing gentoo boot partition from within fedora

I'm a noob so be warned.

I'm having some trouble with Gentoo, and have been googling and working it
out, but *now* I can not boot into it, let me give you some facts

/dev/hda1 is ntfs primary
/dev/hda2 is SWAP file for gentoo primary
/dev/hda3 is / ext3 for gentoo primary
/dev/hda4 *extended*
/dev/hda5 / fedora core 3 test 3
/dev/hda6 swap for fedora

I tried fsck and e2fsck -d 8193 on /dev/hda3 and I get a error about
the superblock being bad. I made sure it was not mounted

any ideas on what to do
