Hi there

I need a xorg.conf to get my LCD-screen to work in Gentoo 2004.2, i
tried following EVERY guide on the net, but cant get it to work... if
it's any help i have GeForce FX Go5200 (nvidia-kernel; nvidia-glx).

I would be really happy, if someone have a example on how to setup a
xorg.xonf for my machine, by the way it's a 15,4 inches screen.

Any other information needed, just post a reply.

Forgot to tell... my max res. is 1400x1050

I had similar problems with my Compaq...
You can run one of CDLive Distros (like Knoppix) try several
configuration and after that copy config file do your hard disk.

Ill try that, i still hoped for a xorg.conf, im VERY bad at configuring
xorg

(By the way, im downloading knoppix right now )

Did you read http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml ?
after that try emerge ddcxinfo-knoppix

I did that, i got xorg installed and emerge nvidia-kernel and
nvidia-glx... just need the config to get it to work.

I added mine to my Dell 5100 entry on linux-laptops.net, but I don't
know if it will help you much since this laptop uses a Radeon 7500.
I'll post the link anyway just in case you find it useful.

Thanks so much just modified a little, works perfect

Would it be possible for you to post or PM me your edited version
please? I've got an Inspiron 5150 and it's a bitch to setup :'(
