Default New to Gentoo
I just attempted to install Gentoo 2006 with the installer. It takes me to
a sign in GUI and asks for "username and password. During the install
process I didn't give any username or password. What do I use to log in?

Press CTRL+ALT+F1. Log in as root, no password. Add a user as per the
instructions in the gentoo handbook.
