In my /etc/make.conf the variable:

PORTAGE_BINHOST="http://chinstrap.alternating.net/files/binaries/i686/"

is set to enable downoloading and installing binary packages,
using a command

emerge -kg

from the service of the webpage:

http://chinstrap.alternating.net

which I encountered once just by a pure accident.

I used it many times ever since and it worked good for me.

But for 2 days it does not want to share its valuable files any more,
producing this strange output:

(111) Connection refused

Does anybody know anything of them? Is their server crashed or my IP become
banned or something?

The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a
capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I did but I had no response so far.
What's more, I've enrolled into their mailing list
Chinstrap-users@alternating.net yesterday and nothing happened.

That is why I am consulting Your newsgroup either.
I hope maybe somebody uses their host too and knows the problem.
