| Hi, A question about how to use japanese with Gentoo 1.4 and Gnome. I have just finished to install my system with "cjk" and "nls" in my USE variable. So, when I try to browse a japanese webpage (with Mozilla or Nautilus), some characters are not ok : I can see some squares with 4 letters inside in place of Kanji. For any reason, most of characters are ok, but not all... I have compiled all packages with "cjk" and "nls" except glibc who has just "cjk".... Any idea ? Thanks in advance Olivier |

Sounds to me as though your font is missing some glyphs/characters. Have you tried looking for / using some fonts which you know have a full Kanji character set? |
