What's your MSI manual say the chipset includes?
Also does your bios include a SoundBlaster Legacy Mode? If so that would at
least work well enough to find the right information.

I did insmod cmpci and modprobe cmpci and they gave no errors.
But also no sound
The other one gave errors.

Are you using alsa or OSS? If you're using OSS I am afraid I can't help
you there, but if you're running KDE you should use alsa.

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml

Go thru the steps outlined there, in particular telling alsa which
module to use and unmuting the volume.

Good luck. If the cmpci module insmodded that means it >probably< will work
with the chipset. No guarantees, tho, considering that particular cs is
not listed on their site.
