Default Sharing an internet connection

Ok I have a router sending out wifi in one room in my house and I have
4 computers located in another. I can't move the 4 into the room with
the router to have a wired connection because I don't have the space.
In the room with 4 computers, one of them is a Gentoo laptop with an
orinoco classic gold wifi card, it also has an ethernet port on it. I
also have a spare router that has no wifi, it can only do wired down
networks. I have heard that it would be possible to plug the ethernet
cable on the router that normally goes to the modem into the ethernet
port on the laptop and then plug the other 3 computers into the router
to share the internet connection that the laptop picks up with the
other 3 computers. So I know what I would do to hook it all up, but I
have no clue what I would have to do configuration wise to be able to
share the connection. Can anyone tell me what I would have to do
configuration wise or link me to a guide on the subject that would help
me out?

If I understand well, you want to build a WiFi gateway router with your WiFi
laptop. This is done by working on the kernel routing table.
