I don't know if it will emerge properly - I hope it does but I don't know
how this happened after ca. 1 hour of compilation

Press ^Z, then run the reset and fg commands.

Nothing serious, it's just that one program wrote garbage to your terminal
which changed the character set.

Reserved must be 0 and will always be 0 in future uses. It is included because
