Default sux - k3b -

Hello, tried this on my gentoo1.4 mashine. Any hints?

bash-2.05b$ sux
Password:
bash-2.05b# k3b
Aborting. $HOME is not set.
bash-2.05b#

How do I have to set $HOME?

regards

Holger

try inseat from your useraccount:

kdesu k3b

instead su and then k3b. anyway you should start k3b as root. do

kdesu k3bsetup

and k3bsetup should put cdrecord and other tools in cdrecording (or
sth.) group and set the bins suid to let them run as root (after a few
steps). after that just start k3b as user and it should work
