Default Thunderbird-0.5 Junk Filters

I've recently emerged thunderbird-0.5 and have found the junk mail filters
to be unaccessible, however the mozilla site states that they are up and
working. Has anyone else had these problems?

You have to turn them on in the options.

Gah. Thats really a stupid place to hide the enabling option:
Tools -> Junk Mail Controls -> (bottom tab) Adaptive Filters -> Enable
adaptive junk mail detection

They should at least put those two on the same page if its a single
toggle with no further options. *grumble*

PS - thanks for tolerating my idiotic question

It was hard to make, it should be hard to find ;-)

I got used to idiotic questions a long time ago, assuming they exist at
all ;-)

Eh, jury is still out on that one.

Nah, I just feel stupid because I scoured over each menu item for quite
some time, and all of the intuitive places I looked they weren't there.
I've been using linux for quite some time, and have recently switched from
sylpheed-claws + bogofilter setup, so this one particularly stings. P

I know how you feel, I went through the same thing. Now I'm using KMail
+ SpamAssassin on my server.
